We'd call her Tana. I'm not sure I like that as a given name. Suggestions for a formal name?

Never thought of that as a first name! If beautiful! Little Tana. Sounds good....

In my opinion, the name Montana is very cute. It is also a good idea to have Montana as a middle name [as long as the first name isn't Hannah, hehe]. Other names for the nickname Tana: Tania, Eltana, or Tanie. Sorry, thats all I can think of.

Montana, Tana for short is lovely. Just be sure that her initials don't spell out anything or she will suffer for it. Mine spelled ARF like a barking Dog. Still, I wouldn't strap a kid with a trendy name out of the blue, Does it really mean something to you? When she is in school, and she asks how did you name me, are you going to tell her it was about a dream you once had, you liked the sound, what?
Just be ready for that Q when you name your KID

I think Montana is pretty and unique. But, if you're going to name her Montana call her Montana. If you're just gonna call her Tana, why not name her Tana? Nothing against you, but I've never understood the we're going name them this, but call them something else. Doesn't make sense to me. Name them what you're going to call them.

Keep Montana that's formal enough. It's latin for mountain; plus I hear it is a beautiful state, I've never been there, but that's what I heard. Above all the name is beautiful.

I taught a Montana it is a lovely name. It's hard to imagine calling an unborn child any name. It took me a long time to call my Baby Abbie comfortably i still wanted to call her the baby. But believe me 14 months later you say it alot. Can you imagine saying montana alot???

I think Montana is a nice name for a girl. But how would you feel if people started calling her Monty? If you do not correct people right away it will stick, trust me. Take care;)
