Is it politics in general or is it real?

Likely as guilty as many other administrations before them , just more exposure & access to info than ever before has brought more of the ugly stuff to our attention.

A famous quote about politics goes something like this..."Watching a bill get passed by Congress is much like seeing sausage made. It's not a very pretty process, but we generally enjoy the end result!"

I (speaking as a Dem) wish Congress would get to solving some of the issues facing our country & stop all the manuevering & leveraging being done by both parties.

Whenever the White House has fallen back on the argument of Executive privilege in the past it has indicated the presence of something hidden. This will be no exception.

The real question is, who will be the first to turn State's evidence? I should start a pool.

why don't we have the people in question testify publicly under oath so that we can find out which is the case, how is anyone supposed to learn anything if they can only give a private hearing for which they can not be held accountable, is this admin. for accountability or opposed to it?

No it's not for real. It's just the democrats attempting to flex their political muscle. The president can hire and fire any US attorney he wants, any time he wants. I hope the president fights the crats on this.
