36 week delivery, nothing wrong with the mother or the child except for the breach, the baby was butt first, but up in the air & she was only 1 cm dialated when she was induced.... it apears that the doc didn't know the baby was breached because when he checked her he said "i see the head"

I have been a Paramedic for 15 years and have delivered dozens of babies including breach births and prolapsed cords. Unless the umbilical cord was wrapped around the child's neck during the delivery (cutting off oxygenation), there shouldn't be any any side effect due to hypoxia (lack of oxygen) during delivery. If this delivery is a friend of yours I hope God blesses you and the new blessed family involved.

If they induced they should have done a Ultra Sound and a Amino...If before 39 weeks. Per the specialist my daughter went to....Alot of babies are born with low oxygen levels and thrive with no ill effect's...If there are compilations and her doctor failed to follow certain steps...You might want to call a lawyer for advice...And make sure the parent's apply for ssi, therapy for the babe is free threw there local school as a pre intervention (therapist comes to home)...Alot of help is out there research it...

And much luck !!!

It can be, but usually breech births aren't complicated as long as the health care provider is experienced with them. More than likely the problems are from the baby being born at 36wks and just not being quite ready to enter the world.

yes, it happened to my sister, and she has brain damage from it. I would call a lawyer.
