Deeds done without selfish motive is a primary refinement of the soul. All deeds that are done are for Him, by Him and of Him is the ultimate aim to be reached. This stage is reached through meditation and complete surrender unto Him, which is the food and nourishment of the soul.

Blessed are those who think of posing a question like this.

What nourishes my soul is the respect I have for myself.
I never thought I would go down low in life, well after my marriage breakdown, i never thought I would be doing these kinds of jobs. It all looked like a test, i felt down, degraded but my respect for myself kept me going everyday, that respect, keeps me to always think life will have a turning point towards a change, from good to bad-i came from it, now I am anticipating the other way.

My "priority" list is far too vast! Pragmatically, I'd have to say--people--because that is the arena in which I most spend my time. (I'd prefer "spirit" which is only a matter of semantics), yet, how could I possibly include all? The dear, sweet sleep murmurings of my psychic cat? The awesome Canadian geese with their black, arrow necks, flying into the sunset? The sound of rain on my windowpane, & all the "green" things loving it. Brie & roast garlic on warm sourdough bread. Smiles exchanged between strangers. Classical music that transforms me. Images in fireplace flames. Incense, candles. A friend who calls because she is in conflict, & knows I won't judge her, only question her to question herself. (Or himself, as is often the case.) Insights from differnet cultures. Let me count the ways! LIFE nourishes me.

Knowledge. Finding answers to questions I have. Finding questions that I didn't know I wanted to ask. Arriving at theories for how or why something works--or doesn't.

Writing also feeds my soul. I've known I was a writer since I was four years old. I couldn't live if I couldn't write.

I love to lie on the grass and stare at the clouds or stars, sit by a stream and watch the water trickle by, enjoy a sunset on a warm summer's night or sit on the edge of a cliff and watch the fog settle over the valley. Enjoying nature allows me to recharge & appreciate the vast and wonderous universe we are a part of. It makes me very humble.

Sunlight...dogs...good blues/jazz music...singing gospel music loudly...laying around on a lazy afternoon talking scripture with the man I love...girl's nights...people watching (observing folks sometimes can remind you of the beauty of humanity).

I like the thrill of visiting a new place, the peace of family and friends, and the satisfaction of gaining knowledge.

Knowledge.

I love learning new things and sharing them with anyone who will listen whenever it's germane (although, it often appears that I am showing off -- it's a little of each.)
