I think people are voting for him to make a mockery of the show!
Sanjaya Malakar, 17, is from Federal Way, WA. He auditioned in Seattle with his sister, who was eliminated at the Hollywood stage of the competition. Sanjaya says he started singing as a little boy and had formal singing training.
Sanjaya, who spent four years performing with the Hawaii Children Theater, claims he is a shy person and says "I'm scared that I'll never be able to walk into a supermarket without someone recognizing me." His music idol is Stevie Wonder.

he has to leave the show on his own.simon was right sanjaya did not have a mirror in his room. how about the other guys working there?
couldnt anyone else tell him how bad he looked or what.
i think if he performs with the woman who came for the audition and had yellow feathery clothes on , will become somthing.or with the guy that simon said he had massive eyes.
oh my,american idol is nothing without simon.
