Speak to a therapist. If you follow a religion, speak to someone who can spiritually guide you (pastor, minister, priest, etc)
You can even speak with your OB who can refer you to someone or prescribe you something to take.
Good luck. (((hugs)))

If you are at the end of pregnancy then being so huge can make you depressed. I suggest you talk to your doctor and let someone close to you know how your feeling because if it continues after the birth it is hard for the mother to recognise post natal depression. Cheer up there is nothing more beautiful than a baby you dont want to miss it. Also if this is your first baby just warning you that the first 3 months after the baby is born is out of this world but it does end, just try to enjoy it cause they dont stay little for long. I just read your additional info: are you sure your ready to be a parent. Get help

Have you been diagnosed with a depressive disorder? Depression is not an emotional state but a horomonal imbalance in your brain. It's a very serious condition especailly for an expectant mother. My word of advice is to get professional help. Any medical doctor can test you for depression. Here is a website that can give you more information on depression and also some resources. Also please be aware that you may be at risk for post partum depression. http://www.nimh.nih.gov/healthinformation/depressionmenu.cfm I hope this will be of some help to you.

Talk to your doctor now so they can plan for what to do once the baby is here. They may be able to give you something now to help fight this depression. I've suffered with depression since I was 22yo. I'm now almost 43. I know how it can affect you with and without pregnancy. Remember to get out in the sunshine too, it does help to make things seem better. BUT talk to your doctor. Mom to 3.

it is VERY important to bring this up to your dr. not only because they can help your depression now, but because if you are depressed NOW, the chances of you suffering from postpartum depression is greater...and many bad things have happened by women suffering from that, not the least of which was killing their own baby.
depression is not something you can control...i have it and my dr explained to me why i needed anti-depressants, how they worked. i dont get depressed much anymore, but if i dont stay on the anti-depressants, i cant seem to control my emotions very well. i will warn you though...if they offer you paxil...ask for something else...that stuff can really mess your head up...i know! good luck.
BTW...GOD is always the best answer

do things you enjoy if you can, to stop you dwelling on whatever makes you sad. look forward to the happiness the baby will bring and also just accept that we cant always feel on top of the world, especially once you have a baby, some days you will feel like the world is on top of you.. just remember it will pass!

First of all, DON'T BELIEVE TOM CRUISE!!!!!

Let me get this straight....

You're having a baby.

You have a doctor who you are going to for prenatal care for you and the baby, right?

What? You don't? GET TO ONE NOW!!!!

Then, ask HIM or HER about your problem and don't ask such important questions on the Yahoo question board!
