hey! I am 22 and a new mom of a baby girl who is 5 weeks! I enjoy being with my little girl and seeing her do new things every day! She sleeps very good at night and sometimes I might wake her up to eat. There has been alot of good times like just seeing her look at me and give me the biggest smile ever! I am breastfeeding her which wasn't hard at all. There was about 2 days when I first started feeding her that my nipples felt like they were going to FALL OFF, other than that I Iove to breastfeed her. I got so tired of sitting at home, just like you, I thought I would go crazy! LOL. We are starting to get out of the house a little more each day. I haven't really gotten the breastfeeding in public thing down yet, and it's kinda hard when the baby just really cuts up the instant she gets hungry but I go to my car to feed her. I took her for her first shot and couldn't stand to see the nurse stick my baby which really sucked!!!! She went for her first stroll through the neighborhood, She never even cried once!!!...ummmm..other than that everything is great and I just love to look, talk, and play with her. She is my world!! I was kinda down at first b/c me and her father aren't together but shes makes everything better! I hope that you are having as much fun with your baby as I am with mine......being 22, single, and having to sit out from school and work...i thought it would be hard, but I AM LOVING IT!!!!

Hello!
I am a first-time mommy to Keith, my wonderful almost 9-week old baby boy!
I agree with the other moms, that it was hard at first, but then you get into more of a routine and it gets better and better. My hubby is in Iraq and has been there since September, so he missed a good chunk of my pregnancy and almost missed the delivery. He made it home for R&R when I was already in the delivery room and after my son's head was out and body was on its way out, lol! It was amazing! Anyway, so he was home for the first two weeks of Keith's life and it was wonderful to have him home to help out and be my supporter when the baby was crying non-stop or when breastfeeding was just so hard and I wanted to give up. When he had to leave once again, the first two weeks after that were so hard for both Keith and I. I was miserable and I know that those feelings were being absorbed by my son, so he was more cranky as well. Thankfully, since I live in a military community, all of my friends' husbands are aslo gone, so I had, and still have, a wonderful support system. The new moms and I get together once a month to just relax and talk about our great children! Things are still difficult, but are getting better and better. Keith is starting to sleep better at night, waking every three hours instead of two to eat! He is smiling and is usually such a happy and good natured baby! As you can see, I love talking about him, lol!
Anyway, congratulations to all of you new moms out there and keep up the great work with the toughest job in the world!

My son is 8 weeks old, and my first child. I'm a stay at home mom, and all moms need a little "me time". Easier said then done. LOL. But its been really fun learning new things, and also watching him learn! I'm sure we won't be bored after they start crawling and walking though! We'll be praying for a boring moment. I just am always looking forward to the next step and so excited when he reaches it. It would just be better, for me anyway, if there was some sort of play group or moms clubs or something like that within 50 miles of my house!

It's been a ride and a half. I was amazed at how cute my daughter was (I am not a baby or child fan - I find most baby's to be ugly and baby animals to be a pain) or how sweet I found her to be.
I think that I have been lucky to get what my father refers to as a "pflegeleicht baby", she's quiet, easy going and healthy. What has been the hardest is my husbands work hours he is basically at work 7 days a week and I have not yet in 7 months had any time to myself and sometimes I feel very run down and tired.
What has surprised me the most is my decision to remain at home until my daughter is old enough to attend school, that was the last thing I expected to want to do.
Yeah, so that's it and congratulations on your baby, have fun, they seem to grow fast!

My son is 5 months old and it has been a trip! He has changed sooo much and is so big now! It was hard at first, trying to figure out what cries meant what and when he was tired...but it wasn't horrible. I've been told I'm lucky, b/c I have a "good" baby. He doesn't get fussy very often, which I hope it stays that way! It is a little boring being at home so much, I do miss being able to just go out whenever, but it is worth it! If you ever need advice or have questions, feel free to contact me!

My son will be 1 yo in 2 weeks and I can't believe how fast it went by! To me, the hardest part was having my unplanned C section and a bleeding incisional hemotoma afterwards. Recovery was such hell. My son, Christian has been such a joy, I've loved watching him talk and walk, although I get so aggravated following him around all day to keep him out of things. I met other stay at home moms on a website called meetup.com and search under the parenting section for other moms in your area. I've made such great friends through it and we do things about twice a week, so my son gets to play with other kids.

my baby boy is now 5 months old, and i love being a stay at home mom....the first month wasn't as hard as i thought it would be cause my mom was here and she showed me a lot of things....the first week after she left i found hard because i was here totally alone because my fiance was away at work, but i got through it, and now my baby is just the cutest thing ever....he started to roll over at 3 months, and is now almost crawling and he loves to play with anything with buttons.....he is also really spoiled, crying everytime i go out of sight, but other than that he is an awesome baby....he doesn't ever really cry(unless he can't see me like i said)..he just starts to fuss when he is hungry, and he rubs his eyes when he is tired....he sleeps through the night most of the time, and he is eating vegetables now too....he has grown from 7 pounds, 2 ounces, 47 cm long at birth, to 15 pounds, 64 cm long at his 4 month checkup, and is bigger now.....just enjoy your time with your new baby because they grow so fast....

when my baby was born 7month ago, i also felt bored at times since babies usually sleep all day and would just wake up to ask for milk. but when she started learning so many things, it's really very exciting and rewarding. that's why i have no regrets leaving my promising career just to be there for her 24/7. now, i am enjoying every minute of being a fulltime mom.

well, i was amazed at how much he can poop, and how loud he could fart... then there was the drool starting at 6 months and at about 18 months the drool tap was turned off and he could keep a dry shirt on... then i was amazed at how fast he could run and how well he could talk, then i was amazed at how good he was at being a copy cat, i mean, he will repeat anything... now he is 3 years old and i am amazed at how well he likes to pee on stuff, his favorite is peeing off the front porch and onto sticks or rocks, whatever i put down there for him to aim at
