Quina Quen gender is depatable. In Spain she is always refered to as she.

Quina Quen (クイナ・クゥエン, Keena Kuen?) is a fictional character from the PlayStation video game Final Fantasy IX. Quina's actual gender is debatable and the character is consistently referred throughout the game as 's/he' or 'him', and is always referred to as 'ella' (she) in the game's Spanish release. It is a Qu whose master, Quale, wants it to travel the world so that it will learn that there's more to life than food. Like the rest of the Qu Tribe, Quina constantly speaks in broken English. Quina's unique ability is called Blue Magic (Blu Magic in the battle menu) which allows it to use enemy abilities acquired in battle by using the Eat command on certain enemies. It has a philosophy that in the universe, there are only two things, "things you can eat and things you no can eat." Its favorite food is frogs.

Quina is separated from the rest of the party by massive explosions at several points in the game and becomes somewhat of a running joke.

In the game Quina is referred to as s/he, so it's gender is either unknown or it's both.

It is debatable. Look at my sites. Wikipedia says it is unknown, and my other top FF site does not even bring it up.
I would go with "genderless."
