I have never had any experiences but I want to. I thought so many times about starting a ghost hunting club, but I don't have the time to run one. It would be so much fun. Plus I live right next to the oldest cemetary in my city. So thats pretty cool.

When looking for a group to join, or in starting you own. Make sure you find one that is respectful of the laws etc. Many people start something up on their own with no idea about how to do a proper investigation. While its still exciting to go on your own, if you want your documentation to be taken seriously then there are certain procedures that should be followed in order to reduce or eliminate the possibilities of being discredited.

Further, going to public and private buildings without advanced authorization, could result in being charged with trespassing. Or worse yet, - personal injury if the building has been abandoned or is structurally unsound.

Chances are there already is an active group/society in your area. Most states and provinces have one, as do many large cities.

Try googling "Ghost", "Haunting" and your city or region and see what you find.

Since I don't know where you are, I can't recommend any. But I am a general member of the Toronto Ghost and Haunting Society. They put out a good newsletter and have lots of interesting stuff on their website. They are also affiliated with the Virginia Ghost and Haunting Society.

The Toronto Ghost and Haunting Society also has information on how to conduct a proper investigation, and you can study and take an exam to participate in their investigations.

Good luck with your search.

Absolutely. I think it would be fun and interesting to do something like this. Finding a reputable club that is already established is not easy. T.A.P.S. is in New England and I live in Arkansas. Too far to travel. But I have also thought of starting my own group here. I know it would be a major undertaking. Purchasing the equipment alone is almost phohibitive. Then there is the matter of finding members, which in and of itself is easy, but you would have to be very selective and weed out all the nuts and fruitcakes. All these things take time. I know this makes it sound like I am looking for reasons not to do it, but I am really just trying to be realistic. I would actually love to give it a try.

I would love to join a ghost hunting club! I have had many, many experiences my whole life. The latest was in my new house I was making dinner. I have 2 cats & they ran out of the living room into the kitchen, when I turned around to see what they were doing. I saw a shadow of a man in the doorway. I have also seen my grandfather in that house. & I constantly feel like I am being watched.

i'd love to start one. i live in australia and there are plenty of places around my area that are haunted. there is actually a tour through the town of brisbane in qld australia that takes u through an old jail and the cemetery. there is an "urban legend" that on of othe the streets beside the cemetery u can turn ur car motor off and get pulled UP hill. my parents have experienced and a night i went driving around it with mates we deffinately felt a presence. there is an old hotel in a town called rockhampton that has a haunted room. people have stayed there and the window has been opened and a ghostly figure has been seen in the window while the room is vacant. ive lived in haunted houses. we had a pool table and we would hear the balls moving aorund while people were upstairs watching tv or asleep. if u wanna know more email me jamie28981@yahoo.com

I would love to join one but I don't know of any close to where I live. I have had many experiences, sadly right before or after people die. However, I do also hear my spirit guide ALL the time. Good luck with finding a club!

i have been checking out so called haunted places for over 20 years and have taken some intersting pics, ive also drove hundreds of miles to do so,first i would suggest checking the web for places in your erea or be prepared to do some driving,-one place in particular i would suggest looking up is a place called Waverly Hills Sanitorium in Louisville ky(its also in a movie called -Death tunnell- )but im sure there are places closer to you ,most larger cities boast of paranormal locations and many have ghost hunting groups, just keep checking the web and im sure you will find something..Good luck and most of all Be careful!

I wish I could, but there are none close to my area. My friends and I have a circle, which does some different forms of studying of the paranormal. However, we are the freaks of the area because we are paranormal (pagans and whatnot).

I'm psychic so I could be of value to many ghost researchers, but thus far I have not been in any.
