Steve Emtman of the Colts had the ball get stuck in his facemask back in the late 90's and he ran 40 yards for an interception return for a touchdown. He didn't get the ball out while running and held it in place during the run. He was about 3 yards from the quarterback when it happened and as he jumped to bat the ball the ball stuck in his mask

????????? - you liar, you have not seen a football get stuck in a facemask before. there is only one facemask that has a large enough gap for a football to fit through without bouncing off and thats the single bar facemask, and in that case it would mearly bounce off the players face instead of the facemask. LMFAO @ ive seen it happen before.

Realistically, getting a football stuck in the facemask is a knockout...

Stop watching Little Giants! It is only a movie. I am sure if it happened the receiver would just put his hands up and pull the ball from his face mask and since the ball did not hit the ground it would be a catch. Dont hold your breath though because it will never happen.

As long as the ball does not make contact with the ground, it is a catch.

not technically, but once he gets his hand on it and pulls it in, yes. as long as he is in bounds and the ball doesn't hit the ground, it's a catch.
