Whenever I read in mags girls' responses to this question the answers are always bizarre, like "i would love to be flown to tuscany" or "play the piano and sing a song written for me....while on the beach" What would be your realistic vision of a nice first date? I'm a nice guy and not cheap, but come on, private jets to italy and wheeling grand pianos onto the beach???

Fancy: Dinner and a walk on the beach (sans the piano). Casual: Dinner and something active, like a batting cage or driving range or maybe a baseball or basketball game.

I love it when a "date" just spontaneously happens, like with my last bf we would just randomly go out for a walk and wander around town looking at things, then we'd get a snack or a cup of coffee before heading back. Sweet and simple is the way to go with first dates.

dude, u gotta just do something fun, like going to a carnival, she will probaly like snuggling up to you on the ferris wheel or screaming and yelling with you on the roller coasters, and then win a prize for at a game, like in a movies, i know that would be my perfect first date!

Back in my dating days, as long as he opened doors for me, paid for dinner and I didn't have to beat him off me with a stick, I considered it a good date!
