There is also Verizon Wireless, who offers NO ROAMING in any state or area in the whole 50 states of the United States, also including some countries like Mexico, Canada, and Puerto Rico. Also, Verizon has all nationwide plans, for the same price you'd get a local plan. Check them out. Also on Monday, they are offering a new service called TEST DRIVE! It will allow you to port over (using your SAME Mobile Number you have now!) and so you can "test drive" or check out the service for 30 DAYS to see if you like it! If you decide that you don't like it or don't want it, you can port back over (keeping your same number and going back to your original company without any obligation) and Verizon Wireless will pay for any costs you incurred during the time you were on their service, except for any ringtones, games, music, etc. If you went over your minutes, Verizon will even pay for that.
To be honest with you, I am excited that we're offering something like that. It's about time someone offers something great like that. As a Technician to present this to people, I am excited... but more so as a customer. It's a great way to help you find out what you want! If you go into a Verizon store, tell them you heard it from a Tech! :)

If you go to the websites for the different providers in your area you can actually pull up a coverage map for your direct area according to zip code and see what the coverage is. It will ask your for your address for that purpose so that it can triangulate your location to the nearest cell tower.
