Well parents have a big concern on myspace try letting her be involved in making your myspace layout where she can be involved in what is going with it. Maybe you two could share one she could use her picture hey it might get you in the door and once shes that you are being cool with it and being careful you can have your own pic and have more freedom start out small like that . I know plenty of parents who have done that for there kids my brother is one them , As far as reasons that is a little different the old story of so and so moms lets her have one doesn't work with all moms try telling her that you know she is concerned about all the bad things she has heard, but if does bring families closer together and that some people keep in touch that way you don't get to c there families that much . But all in all don't be two aggressive parents hate that. They get more into the whole idea that no kid of theirs is going to muscle them around. Good luck though, Maybe you and a friend could do a dual space account and both moms monitor it.

i think myspace should be for people 18 and older, there are way too many pedophiles, rapists, and sexual predators that use the internet to get new victims. i have a myspace account that i rarely spend any time on, there just isnt a point to it really. myspace needs to restrict its users in order to protect them from themselves. i know way too many people that have been tricked by the true freaks of this world via the net, although myspace isnt the only place it happens, Yahoo! Chat is another major hide out for child molestors, rapists, and other general scum, and there is a 0% chance that myspace and/or yahoo could ever get rid of 100% of the users that engage in this kind of activity, it doesnt matter how hard they try, it will just never happen. Listen to your mother, she's just simply trying to protect you from the cold, cruel people of this world, you'll understand it all better once you're in the same position yourself.

You don't NEED a myspace, it's nothing but a trendy way of exploiting yourself and showing off. Your friends know you well enough they don't need to see a webpage about you and pictures posted all over creation. If you could see some of the unearthly images and nastyness that has come from and is showed on myspace through a parents eyes, you'd understand completely what your mom is protecting you from.

Your mom is wise. Perverted Justice is currently cleaning out all the registered sex offenders that it can find on myspace. So far, that has numbered in the hundreds in just a couple of days. It's not a place that's safe for minors. Listen to your mother.

you shouldn't push your mom your mom is doing the right thing.Your not missing out on anything really you really dint know who is sending you messages and second of all mostly everyone lies. People do it just for fun.Leave things the way they are and maybe eventually you'll see it ain't a big deal after all. Have fun with other things and know that your mother cares and maybe all of your friends have my space and make a big fuss about it and so it makes you want to fit in with the rest of them. Don't be like them and see how there are parents who give allot of freedom to their children that's scary
tootles!

Just listen to your mom. It's just myspace what's the big deal. It's just an illusion of being popular, none of the people really care about you in there. The ones who will will be real people in your real life. And you don't need myspace for that.

How old are you? How would your mom know you have a myspace?
Also, myspace really isn't that exciting. I know, all your friends probably have one, but I have one and I hardly ever use it. It's dull.
But you could explain to her that you can make your myspace profile private and only let people who you approve view your myspace.

Your mother is a very smart and caring lady. She is protecting you from some terrible things that happen on MySpace every day. Wait until you are older and try again. One day you will understand why she said no.

Tell her you want to make an advertisement.
She'll say for what?
Well I have to let you take it from here.
This is the answer to your riddle.
It better be something good or she won't buy it.
Just don't tell her that the product is you. That will never sell.
If she can help it.
Its all a good thing.
Do you understand what the answer to the riddle is?

Sorry, but I can't conspire with you against your mom. What's with "ty for anything!, Panicjunkie", anyway. The way you post this question on here tells me that your mum is probably right.
