Dear, there are number of such sites. Commonly used are Rediff Boll, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, www.smscountry.com/free_sms_India.asp, explore.oneindia.in/internet/sms/ , www.gii.in/sms/ & so on. You can search more for at any of the search engines.

Yes, I believe so. Do you have Yahoo! Messenger?
I have Y!Messenger and you can send SMS to cell/mobile phone no charge to you.
I live in the state of Colorado in the U.S. and send SMS to my friends in California on their cell from my computer, no charge to me.
Maybe you can too. Hope it works for you!
P.S. Your friends do not have to have Yahoo! Messenger to do this. Some of my friends I send SMS from my computer via Y! Messenger, do not have Yahoo! Messenger.
