from the tv show LOST, i am lost right now cuz im confused

I'm watching it now, it seems he blew it up because if he leaves the island he becomes a cripple again. He also thinks the island has a lot to offer that he wants to explore before other people find out about it.

Patchy, the Other guarding the Flame Station told him about the sub. Ben *aka He Who Shall Be Called Henry Gale* tried to tell Locke that he wanted the blow up the sub because then there would be no way his father could find him. But he wants to stay because he'll be back in the wheelchair if he leaves the island.
And on that note: FINALLY finding out why Locke ended up in the wheelchair in the first place. One word: DAMNNNNNN. I so want Locke to kill him!!! I want Daddy Dearest to be put so low he will have to look up to see Hell!!! >(

He blew it up because he wanted to stay on the island. He knew if Jack went home, he could send for help and everyone would be rescued. Locke believes that as long as he is on the island, he will continue to walk; he has a connection to the island that no one else has and he doesn't want to lose that. He also wants to stay on the island because he believed his father was still out there and could kill him. But that's not the case now since his father is on the island.

Locke thinks the island is a very special, magical place, and he doesn't want anyone to leave or anyone from the outside world to find it.

Locke does not want to leave the island b/c he thinks he will be in a wheelchair again. Patchy (the man in the comm. station) told him that is how he got there.

he knows about the submarine because that guy with the patch told them about it...why he blew it up...I have no idea!
