If indeed good people do suffer more, perhaps it is because being "good" sometimes means allowing oneself to be vulnerable. I would prefer to be hurt on occasion, myself, than to be cut off from the world in a defensive posture all my life.

Good people suffer more because they are GOOD. But in my view, being good is not a suffer. If we think so than that is the main cause of our suffer.

Anyone who comes into this world has happiness and suffering happen to him or her one after another. It is the never ending process of life. Everyone gets their share of suffering and happiness.
Sufferings are given in order that we become perfect or in simple terms that we learn to overcome such situations in our life. Part of our growing up process. This is unique for each individual since the experience obtained from going through a particular process of suffering, will be necessary for that person to decide something in future, which will allow him to make a better choice.
When a bad person according to the onlooker's mentality suffers everyone feels he deserves it whereas when a good person gets his share everyone feels that he has been cheated. Life is fair. It is our attitude that decides how we look at it.

Only two reasons why. Goodness from a human is an inherited property of abundance by Law of nature that in itself is natural. This is often considered a desired environment of permanent existenence. And since natural, stands there vulnerable. Second part as to why they suffer is when this is imbalanced due to its bad side of exploitation. But it is for keeping through out life.

Good people tend to be more sensitive to their own and others' circumstances, labelling them as 'good'. This also means they are more sensitive to misfortune and 'suffer' more from their own and others'. They will also not wish to hurt others in finding solutions to problems whereas other people may choose to improve their own situation to the detriment of those around them. However, this viewpoint may just be a perception obtained because if something negative happens to someone 'bad' it is excused as justified and soon forgotten, whereas, problems for 'good' people are considered unfair and remembered more.

you people kill me, you come up with all your answers, about karma, and budda, and whatever other gods you serve.someone made a statement about morals being for the week, but what you fail to realise is that the world is in the condition that it is in because of greed, selfishness and the me attitude.GOD did not put humans on this earth to be selfish and indifferent towards their fellow man. a lot of successful people seem to think that the reason why they are successful is because they are so smart ,hard working or good looking, when in reality you can be all of those things and still fail by the world's standard of success. The only reason why you have what you have is because GOD has allowed you to have it.If you look at life from that perspective then you successful people who ever you are won't look down on those that are not as blessed as you are

There are two good reasons
1. Good people always realise that there is a vast gap between vice and the virtue.
2. There are lot of vicious characters around the society where the good people are also a part in it.

I don't think they do. There are all kinds of suffering, no one is immune. As long as people need anything at all, there will be suffering- all life has to do is take it away.

"Goodness" is natural harmony. Some people are more sensitive to harmony and disharmony. People who are more sensitive can become more aware of what truly is harmony and goodness. The more aware people become, the more they can feel and comprehend, good or bad. To suffer so is not the pity. The pity is lack of awareness.
