It depends on the field you are looking to have a career in. Remembering that you will need to get experience to go with the degree - if it is politics - support you can go far, academics or becoming a politician you will need a PhD or a law degree

When people hire you they look at the degree. Masters? Yes or no? It doesn't matter what your masters is IN if you have one.

How far can you go without one. I guess its up to you or its not. I dont know, theres a lot in life that we dont control so I guess its a combination of what you know and who knows you and luck.
