i play lacrosse too, i had the same issue as well, our team trainer told me to wrap up the placet that hurts, so there is less chance of dislocation, also streach it out as much as you can and try not to run too hard, it can lead to worse injury

You may have arthritis and is not necesarily related to your age sometimes it just happens. Try taking sumplements that can help you with your joints. Try glucosamine, I know this is good for the joints and also you can take polen pills as a supplement. these pills are really good. My father suffers from arthritis and his joints are way better since he started taking them. You can get them at gnc. Another thing that is good to take as supplement that helps you with your joints is Omega 6 oils. Also the shoes you are using may be the problem. you need some kind of bouncing control on your shoes.

Hope you get better.

Maybe you have arthritis, even if you are young some people get rheumatoid arthritis. Talk to your doctor and see if you need a good pair of supportive athletic shoes. Try some Aleve/Advil for the pain and swelling of your joints.
