Sure! For one they love bloodworms. Any frozen food small enough for them to eat they will enjoy. Live foods are great when you can get them too....daphnia, mosquito larvae, maggots, adult brine shrimp... all of that live or frozen makes great betta chow!

any tropical fish flakes or pellets are good for betas, but they also love dried blood worms. The blood worms are closer to what they would hunt in the wild and provide all the nutrients they need to be healthy. however, if ur not keen on feeding ur fish dried worms, the flakes and pellets for TROPICAL fish provide just as much nutrients (not goldfish....most people just see "flakes" and buy them...they need tropical fish food because they are tropical fish, not goldfish) make sure u stick to a certain type of food, betas r picky and if their food is changed after they r used to eating the old stuff, more often than not they will stop eating.

It's a myth bettas eat plants, they are carnivores not herbavores. Frozen or live foods like bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphinia and flightless fruit flys are gourmet betta foods.
I have 8 bettas of my own, and I can sure tell the difference when feeding frozen and/or live foods as opposed to flakes and pellets.

Sure you can like regular fish food, gold fish food and they love blood worms whether it be life or frozen, but give only as a treat. I hear live plants are good too.

There's actually a plant you can buy at pretty much any plant nursury to feed betas. You just stick the plant in the bowl and it can live with just the roots in the water...and the betas feed from the roots.
