That is a very personal and difficult decision for any woman. I don't think there is any woman, who has an abortion, who does not give thought to it throughout her life but whether she feels guilty or not is largely due to the circumstances.

I don't know about guilty, but many of them become depressed and have distructive behaviors and they don't even relate it to the abortion. The only ones that feel guilty about it is women that have been told it is wrong. Many women have been so corrupted by society that they don't know or will admitt to themselves that it is wrong.

Yes! But as much as I hate abortion I never ever rub that in a women's face, god will give her peace when he feels it's right. And the guilt is good, for the loss of the child's sake. But I never want to see anyone in pain, especially someone who has developed their 20/20 hindsight vision.

I have been a health care provider for over forty years, and have never - and I do mean NEVER - met a woman who felt guilty about an abortion. Only one of my colleagues has ever reported that one of his patients expressed regret over her choice of an abortion. Since that has been a concern raised in certain quarters, we providers have discussed it among ourselves from time to time. Given that both that particular colleague and I have probably seen around twelve thousand patients between us in our forty years of practice, I think we can safely say it is rare for a woman to regret the choice of abortion for the rest of her life.

Yes, I know for a fact that they do. Two of my husband's family members did, and the guilt they carry, has and will go on. They both regret doing it.
