The past 3 years of my life have been horrible, nothing ever goes right. It seems like things won't ever get better and when I think about my future all I see is a black void. I feel like everything will continue to go wrong and I will never be happy again...

Has anyone else had a similar experience? Did your life finally get back on track?

Someone please tell me things are going to get better :(

Sick Of Life

Explore. That is the most advice I can give you in the smallest of forms. Life isn't exciting and awesome like you see in the movies or in Anime and cartoons. It is actually quite boring and monotone. Most people never look outside of their life which includes the same schedule over and over again. So, once again. My advice to you is to explore. How? Simple ways. If you've got a car, wait until it's a clear night (No Clouds, and Winter is best when it's cold in the atmosphere.) Drive out to the country with a friend or just by yourself. Go out far enough that you escape the light pollution of the city, and then pull to the side of the road and look up. Party some, go to college, meet new friends, travel. There are plenty of options! But it all depends on what you do and how you do it. I think a big problem (and not just for you. For a lot of people aroud 18 or so.) is the monotone life. You're old enough to be on your own! You have freedom! But you don't know what to do with it. Another piece of advice? Anything you want. (just be responsible.)

Get involved get out of the house more, i was in the same rut, and it cost me my diploma, so now i have a GED and im having a hard time getting into the NAVY, trust me, get out of the house more, and try to meet new people, and if you're on the computer alot, get OFF, the computer i became addicted to in the beginning then steadily started skipping a day of school here and there then the next thing i knew i was in a huge depressed state, and it was just horrible and i quit going to school, and i ended up in a juvenile facility, depression is a serious illness, and i know it feels like you cant help it, but you really can, you've just got to motivate yourself and get out of the house and be open minded... and if you feel worried about what other people think about you, like i was, just forget it, there's always gonna be someone who thinks negatively about you, to try and make there selves feel better, they're just as upset as you are.... good luck i hope i helped, just dont let it get the best of you.

Been there, done that, wrote the book. My life isn't horrible, but damn, can't a sister get a break?
It sucks, but sometimes you have to take the bad with the worse.
Buck up...find something you enjoy doing...leap into it...try to ride out the bad stuff, cause you can only do so much to change it.
I really do understand, as I'm sure a lot of people do....but, try to focus on the good....you're alive, hopefully in good health, have a roof over your head, a job, an education???
It could always get worse, ya know?
I don't mean to sound apathetic, but wallowing never helped anyone. Good luck!

Maybe its the decisions your making, maybe your not looking at the affect your decision will have onthe road a head, But hay dont worry about it everyone gets stuck in a rutt at some point in their life it just takes longer for some people to get out of it.Maybe you need to do some self reflecting a find your yourself look at your sitution is it really that bad? I know for a fact that there are people out there that are in a far worse sitution then you. When something doesnt go your way dont except defeat, you control your own destiny be determind to live a good life the way your want and you will get it you just need to put a little extra effort in and you will be on your way to a better life, have faith.

Its hard to see things getting better when you're right in the middle of it. I can't predict the future. But i do know that it has a lot to do with perception. Try finding things that are happening that give hope. It'll be hard but they are out there. People are trying to make life better- cures for diseases, being proactive by offering solutions to the problems our world faces (environmentally, politically). People are trying to make a difference. But its hard to tell sometimes if it will turn out all right in the end. but the fact is, something is being done.

As you get older you will have more control over your destiny.
If you volunteer to help others, that may make things feel very worthwhile.
As you educate yourself in college, technical school or wherever else you choose to go, you will meet many new people with varying views and enlarge your world view.
Many organizations exist in which you can get involved. Find causes you are interested in.
If your moods do not improve, consider you might be clinically depressed and seek medical evaluation.

Life is life. Either you give up or you see what is going to go on tomorrow. No person will make tomorrow any better If you think life sucks, then it will, for you.
If you think you are lucky to see the sunrise and happy to be alive, then life will be good for you.
Self pity only grows oncde you wallow in it. I did for a long time and when I stopped, I got a much better life.

There are significant periods during a person's age group. If you are younger than twenty years old there will be drastic changes to your life happening fast. If you are twenty five or so there will be career changes to spice up your life and over thirty you will begin to appreciate things you didn't before to reach a higher level of understanding.

I think you are probably in a transition state now so hang on and enjoy the ride as reach the top of the roller coaster of life cause it gets really bitchin and there are serious hotties out there waiting
