Ok, you see I have friend that I knew since high school and now we are in college together and currently in the same class. Well, she usually vents her issues to me and i am more than happy to listen to her about her problems. Now I regret it because all now she does is whine a lot about her issues with her family and other friends.
It is has gotten to the point where she gives me too much information about her problems and it's getting out of hand. Also what is making me really angry with her that whenver I tell her about my issues all i hear from her is an "mhmmm" and now i am through with wanting to deal with her problems anymore because i am getting sick of her constant whining and the whole drama in college.

I had the same problem with my friend. You should tell her how you feel, you always listen to her, but when it's about you she's like whatever and a friendship is not suppose to be like that. I told my friend that and though she hasn't completely stopped whining she at least listens to my problems as well.

My grandmother has always said theirs a way to be straight to the point and nice at the same time. She calls it nice nasty. So makeup another friend up to her, and describe just what you have here to her about your other friend and say don't you just hate people like that? See if she catches your drift that way.If that doesn't work then just get plain out nasty to her and tell her about how selfish a person she is, an that she should try listening sometime......... Good Luck......

Buy her a drama queen t-shirt and ask her if she would like cheese with her whine. I would just tell her how you feel. You have enough stress trying to study and get through college with out crazy friends. Just tell her to shut up and wear the t-shirt.

Tell your friend that she is not the only person with problems because there are a lot of people just like her with a lot of problems.

Ugh...I went thru the same thing and we haven't spoken in a year. Find a way to tell her, or it will totally go south.

Telling her in one big rush is likely to backfire.

It's college. You're meeting new friends. It's time to shift your social circle and spend less and less time with her.
