then players like tyronne lue, carmelo anthony, vince carter, dwayne wade, gerald wallace, and Myself have been wearing it on the courts....now, is a fashion or simply keeps ur arm warm...but why was iverson the first of it's kind? i don't think iverson did it for fashion, maybe to keep his arm warm...but anyone knows the real reason???

He started wearing it because he had a surgery on his right elbow. It acts as a brace for him. Take a close look and Iverson is the only one to wear it on his shhoting arm. That's cause he has to.

indeed he was and wat is so interesting about it is that he first started wearing it because he need to cover up some ivy's of some sort when he had a problem with his health and he kinda just got comfortable with it and decided to keep it that why. Kinda like Richard Hamilton and his protective mask...it turned into Iverson's signature and other players adopted the movement...

i dont know why but maybe one game he just wanted to try it and he did good so he continued wearing it and maybe it felt good such as me i never used to wear headbands but one game i wore one and it felt better and i did really good in that game and iverson is the one who made it a fashion and make this the best answer!!

Iverson started wearing the sleeve on his arm by accident. He found the infamous lost sock in the dryer so he vowed never to lose it again, so he put it on his arm. that way he would never lose sight of it.
