I assume you meant Medicaid...? Since you cannot get that, do you or your wife work at a company that offers full-time benefits? Most work-offered insurance will not consider it a pre-existing condition and will cover part of it. If you try to take out your own separate policy (outside work) you will possibly not be covered, you'll just have to call around and see. You may be better off going the "private pay" route. Alot of doctors and hospitals will give you a discount since you are paying yourself. If you pay upfront, you get a nice cut. Good luck, just do some checking around and find what will work best for you.

try medicaid insure in your state, go to the welfare department you can apply there, i would check on the Internet first to see what the income requirements are first before you go. If you make to much money right now they will not cover you, you might try cutting back on your work hours to qualify for free coverage,I know it sucks to do, but if you can`t afford a doctor do what you have to for now and next time buy good health insurance that covers maternity.
Be blessed

I'm not sure what state your from but in Texas their is plane that is called Medicaid, its great not only did it cover my whole pregnancy it also covered Dr. visits and my children are still covered by it today. i do have to say you have to be in the position of not being fortunate enough to pay for these expenses with insurance offered through your employment. contact your local welfare department.

california has a program for mid-income families. not sure if other states have anything like that as well but you should talk to your case worker you had when you filed for medicaid.
and its it my understanding that insurances can't label pregnancy as a pre-existing condition as medical attention is needed for the health of the unborn child.

I'm not sure about insurance... but you may want to check to see if there is an indigent care clinic in your area... or maybe a federal health clinic. They should be able to help you

Go visit your local teaching hospital.
I have found the one in my town would reduce the rate based upon your income.
You can get an estimate on how much it will cost, and start paying them in installments NOW.
