I am female and will be a guest at a wedding on the beach in April. No shoes allowed. Not sure what to wear... any ideas?

Something that won't blow over your head in the wind, something that doesn't have small pockets where sand can get into, something you would wear to a tea (dressy casual). Don't forget to bring a jacket, not a sweater (sand really likes to stick to sweaters). Also, wear your hair up. Oh and do not wear a long dress, could get wet. Hide some socks in your purse if the reception is also on the beach and goes on into the night. It gets really cold (okay, I'm old). Have fun.

Most of these are casual affairs, but you can't just assume, can you?
The "No shoes" hints very strongly that it will be.
It's not a crime to ask the bride/groom.
They are picking an atypical type of wedding. I don't think they would mind you asking. They seem "hip".
My suggestion is a linen dress. Light, airy, linen is a classic. It may wrinkle like crazy, but you will feel great with it against your skin in the salt sand and wet.

How about a nice capri pants suit or a long flowing skirt and blouse. Be sure to bring a wrap especially if on the west coast it could get a little chilly on the beach with the ocean breeze.

Oh this sounds so fun, I am into fixing up my feet for the summer time...
If I were you, I would have so much fun with this...A pretty flowing Sundress would be so pretty, in barefeet...get you a delicate toe ring, I wear one year round...If you are into that, and a cute ankle braclet, paint your toenails to match your dress....Just something real simple, yellow, or a light colored sundress would be beautiful...
Just enjoy the sand on those barefeet...

A light, airy long skirt or dress (a summer dress). Maybe with off-the-shoulder sleeves. Think Sophia Loren.

A white skirt, pink or light blue low-cut shirt w/ a white undershirt and hair in a half pony-tail. It would be perfect! I promise.

wear a nice sundress, but nothing too revealing. if you have $, check out jcrew - they tend to have nice stuff.
