What is with all this labeling crap? You have to be conservative if you think this or liberal if you think that. I agree with some of what each side says and disagree with some of what each side says. What does that make me? Maybe I have too much common sense. You can't have too much common sense and talk politics. Huh.

Well, normally the different philosophies are different enough that you couldn't fall nowhere on the spectrum. I am a paleoconservative.

To tell you the thruth sometimes it just comes out that way due to the extremists.

I know that im a conservative in the fiscal sense and overall somewhat moderate on social issues, but I find myself reacting to the wacko's and defending conservatism more than I would if there weren't so many extreme views.

And I would bet that some people who often take the liberal side do the same thing because there are some extreme right wing people too.

Do you know what that makes YOU?

It make you...just like almost everyone else in America. Most of the people in the USA are Moderates. People agree with both sides of the political party, but people want you to choose a side, or they will label you, which is also part of the problem of America...labeling.

Well, frankly, labels don't bother conservatives much. But they bother liberals a lot. If you are a moderate, I'd wager you are a left-leaning moderate, since the labeling bothers you so. There's a label for you. Sorry.

But it is true. I don't know why, but conservatives don't usually mind being labeled. We simply don't care. But liberals really, really hate it. They like to think, each of them, that they are all somehow different, though they hold nearly the same views on most important issues.

Funny (strange), but true.

Bravo! You seem to be looking past the 'republican'/'democrat' hoax.. Divide and conquer.. The age old trick has worked so well throughout history.

The politicians are all liars, cheats and criminals on the take.. But they change the laws to suit them so it's all okay. Never trust a politician, they are only out for themselves & their own interests. It should be us versus them, after all they the *real* criminals.

From whatever you write, you end up being labeled. So, you would be a centerist with what you wrote, me I am a conservative. Get over it.

Then you would be called a Moderate, because you think about the issue before deciding it.

Yes you can. An "all or nothing" attitude will not get us anywhere. I have always been opposed to the two political buckets provided to us by self-proclaimed scholars. Use your own mind.

If you label everyone then you don't have to take them seriously, that is why politicians and pundits love to do it. the people themselves they go along with it, because they don't know any better. it's been going on a long time.
