u can take pain killers. and if you get a lot of sores in your mouth like i did you can mix liquid malox or mylanta with liquid bendryl and use that instead of salt water rinses.
(i always had so many sores in my mouth. my doctore told me about the malox/benadryl thing once i'd gotten them off unfortunately. my ortho was like use salt water but it always made my mouth hurt worse.)
