Black Men- White Women, White Men- Black Women?

Why do so many people make this topic out of a big deal. I am a black man and I love my sisters. Theres nuthin in the world better than a black women, long dark hair, pretty brown eyes. Just gorgeous!! I am tired of black men thinking that, they hurt black women when seen wit a white girl, so stupid
It had to be because those 2 like one another. Just like when a black man sees a black women, with a white man. They get jealous!! There are so many people like Halle berry, beautiful black women who have white men. Why does rthe media only show black men with a white women. And when the see vice versa the man turns his head.. Black women are beautiful and no one can change that.. I dont care how rich you are as a black man you love you some black women. Vice Versa for a black woman. But when people say NBA stars date only white women, barely do any of them. All of the big stars have a beaytiful black woman. I always said I would date a women close to being like my momma!! Statically of Black men who marry only 7% practice miscegenation and only 5% are with White women. The statistics are lower among Black women. So my point is if 93%of Black men are marrying Black women why would I be concerned with the 7% that don't? And as you also mentioned the statistics are even lower among Black women. I'm for the preservation and promotion of Black love, Black unity and the Black family. I don't care why White men are not marrying Black women. Contrary to the sensationalized media The US Census speaks for itself. Also I can say personally I don't know any Black/White interracial couples personally and I know many married couples. In fact just this year I witness many weddings among my friends and family that were between Black men and Black women. So again why should I be concerned with such a small group of people?

The average person sticks to their race, but not all. I am a black woman and I am attracted to my black brothas. However I could care less what everyone else does. If you are happy with an Asian, white, Indian, Eskimo or martian that is up to you as long as they treat you right and you are happy. People who get wrapped up in that mess don't have anything going on so they just hate. I would not worry about it, try to find some people who don't focus on it so much. After all we all started from two people so there is really only one race the human race. People need to get a life and just get along.

You are one less close-minded individual that we need in this world and especially in the black community. I couldn't agree with you more when you stated that many people make this topic a big deal. There's a large number of people who have a lot of growing to do, but please continue to do you! And please know, no matter what the sisters will still love you. I say this because there are a lot of stereotypes set upon us and most of it isn't what it seems.

I do think that this is a sensitive topic for black women for a myriad of reasons....

I do think that the 'hate' for the relationship is more symbolic in much the way that the rebel flag is symbolic of hate in the south.

first off, several black women have mothers who were around when it was a death sentence to even whistle at a white woman (google EMMIT TILL)

That memory may not soon fade. It could be that seeing this union of a white person and a black person brings back painful memories


But more recently it has to be hard to see one 'get away' when black women are constantly given the 'black man statistics'.
Apparently one out of 3 are in jail or are gay...
add to that the fact that there are some that are married and that would mean that there are not enough men to go around....
this makes the pickin's pretty slim.
Add to this formula that the black unemployment rate is at an all time high and that black women are graduating from college in a rate that is 4x higher than black men and you have a recipie for several lonely single black women.

Some black women do NOT have an interest in other races of men....for whatever personal preference
so
to see a 'good' one with a woman of another race hurts because it means that there is one less to go around for the ones that date exclusively in that race.

Everyone has or knows a black woman who does not date white men and if she is over 40, chances are good that she is going to be single if she wants an employed man who is not an inmate/ex con.
By the law of statistics, there just arent enough to go around and why should SHE have to lower HER standards or change her preferences??? So maybe when she sees a person of color with a white person those statitics come to mind and they see fire!

Dont certain symbols invoke certain feelings in you?
paint a swastica and watch the reaction...maybe the interacial relationships feel like a death sentence to black women.
If this is how they feel, who are you or I to critize them for that. In america everyone is entitled to feel how they want to feel about certain issues. SO if they dont like it, that is their right...do they need help? who knows

There are a lot of black men in relationships with not just white women but Latin and even assign women, any women who is just not black. Black men tend to date outside of their race more than black women do. But educated career-focused black women are on the rise, while black men have a higher pressence in prison than in college. Black women are finding that when they reach some sort of financial success they don't have many black male counterparts. This gives black women no choice but to either date men on their class level but outside their race, or date men in their race but beneath their class level.
