cant remember the name of an older animated movie?

i cant seem to remember this animated film that i watched when i was a kid

i hardly remember anything from it, it was kinda sorta futuristic

i remember scenes being like these air crafts and robots destroying stuff in a junglish area i think set in the future

i also remember one scene towards the end maybe that had something to do with stars, maybe stars on the screen

i know this is all very very vague, but anything that you think that could possibly be it, post!

it was not Nausicaa but that was a really good guess

its really hard for me to describe this film

like its not based around robots entirely, just robots are the antagonistic characters in the film

like i said i remember a robot(s) destroying a forest or something like that

i dont remember the date but im guessing its no where near past 1995, but it COULD be up as far as 1998. but if i had to guess
i would guess very very early 90s or maybe even made in the 80s

another thing, the skies in the movie werent always blue (they might have never been blue) the skies were usually brownish or light brownish, to give it that kind of gloomy look throughout most of the film
