As a Christian and a person who has children, I have thought long and hard about this question. The conclusion I came to is that children are a gift from God. My part in this gift is to love and nourish them as unconditionally as possibly can. Even though I believe homosexuality is wrong, it is not up to me to judge my child for this. I would leave that up to God and my faith that He is a perfect and sovereign God, judging each person by His compassionate and perfect love. I might be disappointed, but I really don't think it would get in the way of me loving that child.

I would want him to be happy. It would not matter to me in as far as I love him. I might be disappointed in not having the possibility of grand-kids but now a lot of gays are adopting and having children through surrogates; so no, it would not bother me at all.....and we could go shopping a lot more.

I would let him know that it doesn't matter to me what he prefers in the bedroom. It matters to me that he is a happy, responsible, upstanding, man of integrity. I love him, and nothing he does will ever change that. I would let him know that I am always there for him, and that I will stand behind him and support him through all the terrible, hate spewing idiots that come his way.

I'd love him and tell him he is still your son. You do not have to embrace the choices he's made in his life, but he is your flesh and blood, and you'd both be missing out if you shut him out of your life...
Celebrate the fact that he is being honest, and open. He obviously respects and loves you very much to tell you. That's not easy....
