the wire that connects from my ipod to my computer doesnt really work anymore. like it will charge but i cant download the songs to my ipod and stuff. i tried the other way by going to fil sync but i cant click on it. does anyone know how to fix it before i go to the store to ask?

hi alejandra! it sounds like ur cable/wire that connects ur ipod to ur computer is ok since ur ipod charges when u plug it into ur computer.
u might post another question with more information to help us troubleshoot ur problem - for example: does itunes recognize ur ipod when u plug it in? does itunes start when u plug in ur ipod? do u see ur ipod icon in itunes (on the left side of the itunes window)?
you can also try these suggestions:
1. reset ur ipod (power on and immediately hold down the Menu and Select buttons): http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61705
2. plug ur ipod into a different usb port on your computer
3. reboot ur computer and try plugging ur ipod in again
