I am 11 weeks pregnant and still going through morning sickness :-( I am not sick all day every day like I used to be, but have found ways to keep from getting a stomach ache and throwing up except for the one part of the day like clock work... so I was wondering if anyone knew why this happens with people. I am sick in the morning, but have managed to keep the under wraps pretty well and get naseaus during the day but it's when it hits 8 pm that I can't do a thing to keep from throwing up. So anyone know why?

It's those darn hormones!
God bless morning sickness, no? It's a beautiful reason why the first trimester is the worst.
The best thing you can do is to take it easy. At 8 pm vomit and try to go to bed if you can. This too shall pass.

a hormone that helps maintain the pregnancy...i forgot what it's called i am a nursing student and we just went over hormones and that is why people get morning sickness b/c while it's activated in the beginning to help keep the pregnancy going you'll continue to get sick there's nothing you can do except aleviate those symptoms by doing whatever it is your doing.
until your body has enough of that hormones to realize okay if my brain stops producing this I will stay pregnant and once your body and brain realize that it'll stop being produced and you'll stop getting sick. Sometimes it can last longer than other women... some women only get sick for a week b/c it only takes their body a week to realize they are pregnant and the body can maintain it...etc. you get the idea

Could be the time of day that you are taking your prenatal vitamins. I've always taken mine right before bedtime, and I never feel any sickness from them. At least you know when yours is going to hit so you can be prepared! And better to come at night instead of during the day when you're trying to work, run errands, etc. Just hang in there, you will feel better soon I bet. My morning sickness went away right around 12 wks with both pregnancies. Good luck, and congrats!

I am not sure why it hits at the same time every day, but mine has been the same!!! I start getting nauseas at about 3 or 4 in the afternoon and don't feel better until I wake up the next day. This is my fifth pregnancy though!! lol...This part is soo miserable! You should be feeling better soon though.

Well, at least yours is at the end of the day - for some reason my sickness has been around 11:00 a.m. daily - it's awful! Morning sickness usually subsides after the first trimester, so you're almost through . . .

Sometimes, when you throw up, it could be something that you ate, but, in this case, and you being pregnant, the baby itself is new to the foods you are eating and it isn't used to the foods you are eating. Sometimes the baby doesn't like sweet or sour food, so you may have to change your diet so you could throw up less often.
