HALF!
She will take half of everything you got. I tried to tell y'all don't put Lisa Madigan in office....................... I pay child support for a child that lives with me ............... Go Figure! ............. Illinois has their foot so far up the working man a$$ til' every time I go to the dentist he refers me to a podiatrist.

p.s. One day you'll learn what "Its cheaper to keep her" means. And since you live in Illinois ............ look up the term "There's No Way Out".

Well, as much as I like to bash Illinois politicians, I've got to point out to that last answerer that Lisa Madigan is the Attorney General in Illinois. Thus, she is part of the executive branch - NOT a legislator. And for those of you who remember anything about high school government class, you'd know that legislators make the laws, and members of the executive branch merely enforce these laws as written.
Anyway... I'm taking an Illinois worker's comp law class right now, and even though we haven't reached this question yet in the semester, I do have a copy of the Illinois Workers Comp Act, and I think that the answer to your question is, no - your soon-to-be ex-wife shouldn't be able to touch your settlement money, at least that portion that you receive after the divorce.
