defective Torque Convertor Clutch solenoid inside the transmission
Very common problem. It usually happens after an extended drive, like on the freeway right.
You can verify this by temporarily unplugging the TCC solenoid connector on the front side of your transmission and drive the car. I bet you it stops doing it. It s a 4 wire connector
Replace the TCC solenoid under the trans side pan along with the gasket.

My Grand Prix GT (2000 style) became doing that. I took it back to the GM dealership and enable them to verify it...they replaced the gas pump, pronounced the transmission became wonderful, however the subsequent week I had to take it correct back (yet my motor had to get replaced...i'm getting a FOURTH motor put in today...the pistons save breaking). i think of over all that concern became the gas pump, even though it could have been with regard to the engine issues. it must be too costly at this factor to repair a 'ninety 5 Sunfire. i comprehend it became too lots entire to repair my Grand Prix ($4500 spent this summer season on my own).

Check for any loose hose clamps or cut/dry rotted vacuum tubes. Also check around the air filter and cannisters for loose assemblies or vacuum tubes. Don't forget to also check the hose going to your vacuum booster (brakes).
