I said gay not because of my husbands jealousy but because my husband is autistic and doesn't cuddle or show love well, we have also had trouble with his boundries and women,I can't leave him because I have three children two of whom are autistic also, they don't handle any change, plu I need his money to stay home with the kids. I get along better with guys always have, young, old, it doesn't matter. I'm sure if I hung out with a straight guy I would be tempted to cheat. So I don't mean to sound shallow I just want someone to dance in the rain with or go on long strolls or just laze around.Don't be so quick to judge until you last one day in my life......

Look, the lady just asked for assistance on how to make a gay friend.

All you busybodies condemning her for being "emotionally unfaithful" to her husband, blah blah blah, is it any of your business what interpersonal parameters she sets with her husband?

And what's with the indignation over her wanting to have a gay friend? The woman just wants to make a friend for God's sake, and you crucify her for it?

Ma'am, I would suggest checking out the Craigslist site and posting an ad there seeking a platonic friendship. Each state has the major cities listed, and you can post an ad seeking a friend on the city page that best suits you.

find a gay bar in your area online or in a gay travel book. go with your girlfriends and have a blast. or put on a musical ;)

and to respond to all the other people who expressed shock at her wanting to specifically have a gay friend - I've got tons of gay male friends, and just as you turn to your straight female friends for some advice, and your straight male friends for other advice, I turn to my gay male friends for things that neither a straight woman or man could give me. besides all the things that come with a great friendship like honestly, compassion, understanding, humor, etcc, I get fashion advice without self-comparison or selfishness, a love of dancing with me full out until we sweat, advice on men that only other men are privy to, and honestly, I find that as a straight woman my longest lasting friendships are often with gay men. no drama. just friendship.
