I suppose there is still that silent, hard hitting realism that we're different. We come from different backgrounds, do things differently etc... What are friends, family and society in general going to say or how are they going to react? Those things are considered by a lot of men. For the most part, it would be easier if I was raised in a white community as a black woman for me to have a relationship with a white man... unlike if we were raised world aparts. I mean there are black and white norms...and only a small number of people have been able to relate across norms.

Why all the generalizations? There's exception to every rule. It depends on how you were raised, regardless of whether you're Black or White. I was raised in an Upper Class Black Family who has friends of all ethnicities, especially White. I'm glad my parents were open-minded to instill discipline, great values and a genuine love and appreciation for all races. I was exposed to the finer things in life, including going to Boarding Schools all of my life. Every Black Female isn't part of the AIDS Epidemic or has lived off of food stamps. I was raised better than most of all of my White friends. White Men have always admired me. It has nothing to do with cultural and more about wanting to get to know an educated, gorgeous Black Female. People, stop letting the media influence you about stereotyping and get out there and learn about the real world. There's no truism in anything. Stop judging until you properly assess who you're dealing with. You may find out the Black Female Co-worker is the best suitable for you.

As a white man I can only answer out of preference. I do not find black women unattractive, but as a mate for procreation purposes I prefer white women, also I think it has to do with cultural differances, and negative stereotypes placed on black women because of negative portrayal in the media.

I don't know where you are but I see it all the time here. And I'm approached by white boys all the time or they stare. But I'm engaged to a beautiful black man so I am not interested at all. But if they looked like Johnny Depp.....maaaybe!

I don't believe that's true at all in most cases. But people tend to date people that share common interests. I know a lot of white guys that want to date black females but are afraid of rejection.

Why do you think that ? plenty of white men have approached me before before i actually dated one i use to get mad because i didn't want to date a white man because i wanted acceptance of my friends and i knew they would frown on me but then i dated a few
Maybe the ones you meet not all feel that way i assure you lol

i think stereotypes play into it and also it depends on the area. some towns are real anti and some families too. often, the families that are anti live in towns that are anti and its hard to go against the grain. people don't want to make their lives harder.
