are you comfortable with your voice? when you are on the phone, no one will be able to see what you look like.
the only thing i can say is be more comfortable with your voice. play around with it: using different pitches, loudness, etc
try reading simple books out loud and establishing a controlling/ powerful voice.

good luck

I was shy on the phone for years and years (maybe about 20).
Then I discovered "Restricted Number". I also discovered that if calling a business like Phone Company, Electrical Company, Finance Company etc etc etc .... just give them your Account Number and let them look it up before you start talking.
Restricted Numbers are great ... you can call the above and let them know about their price increases, you can ring the radio station and tell them that you are fed up with (whatever) .... and you can also ring any Government Department and yell your head off at them.

They can't trace you ... .because you have a Restricted Number.

In New Zealand this only costs $0.50 a month.

I have a lot more confidence on the phone now and I love ringing up when something really irks me.

Because nobody know who I am.

Get in there ... get a Restricted Number (not a private one) and practice. It's also good for stress.

Just remember .... NOBODY CAN SEE WHO IS ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE.

one way to stop being shy on the phone, is to be on the phone more often.

Maybe if you picture the person on the other end dressed in a clown outfit, or sittin' on the toilet.
