I love cats, but always think of cat lovers as the crazy cat lady from the simpsons who throws cats at people near her house heh.

Thats probably how people see me.

I think that some owners of both can be strange. Working at a vet's office has shown me that. The real weirdos are the people that hate animals.

Neither. One is not "nicer" than the other. Nor are dogs nicer than cats & so on & so on. We choose the companion (hopefully) who best suits us. I had the most beautiful Puli--Ichabod was his name. Loyal & loving. I do, however, think that cats are more "psychic" than dogs, but so what? Well...so lots! I just "happen" to be a cat person at this time. I'd never say dog people, or cat people are "nicer"....& I'll never forget my adorable Hungarian sheep dog as long as I live! I truly think--that what is the very most important, is the "bonding" with your cat OR dog. Or--turtle? Budgie? Whatever. Love is love, & go for it!

Personally, I think Donkey people are the nicest in the pet world. You can't beat the looks of a donkey and most donkey owners will have the same expressions and thought process.

But between dogs or cats- I would have to say cat people.
You never get into a fight with your neighbor about their cat laying a big crap pile in the middle of your sidewalk.

It depends. I have a German Shorthaired Pointer and I consider myself okay on the niceness scale but little old ladies with their mop dogs are often crabby and their dogs snap at you.
Then again cat people can be crazy too... especially the ones who have 8 cats.
I'm going to go with dog people, I guess I'm a little partial on this question though.

We have 4 dogs and 3 cats living in our house. They'll sleep, eat and play together and they never bicker. I think the saying "fighting like cats and dogs" aren't true at my house coz our dogs and cats live in harmony. So what does that make me?? A dog or a cat person... coz i'm good with both...

Anyone who loves animals - cats or dogs has a got to have some good qualities.

the truth is that if you love animals, you have the potential to be a good person. It does not matter what kind of animal you have, just that you love them.

I know that sometimes it seems that some people who appear to love animals, also appear not to like people. It might be that they just relate better to animals. But i would be willing to bet that if you started a conversation about their animals, you would find that they are really good at heart.

this is a sort of a prejudice question (and answer) i think dog people because, like their dogs, they're more easy-going. i have1 dog and even though my dog is a border collie (really hyper) i think the cats are still way more independent like their owners and a little less social and nice.
