This is a GREAT racket for beginners. This rackets allows you to be in more control and you won't have to take harder swings (which causes you to lose control if you're unexperienced). This racket can help you make the tennis team and is good for competition. The power and lightweight design means that your groundstrokes can be solid. You may experience problems with your serve since the racket can easily launch balls to the next county. On the serve, I suggest you put more spin by only lightly brushing the ball of the serve instead of hitting it directly. Besides that, you made a great choice. Enjoy the racket and make sure you take a more precise approach to your swings than power. The racket already had power. Good Luck with the team.

of you go to a tennis shop they should allow you to test out racquets for a day or two. First tell them what kind of player you are and what you are looking for in a racquet. You sound like me, thats how I play tennis. I have a babolat cortex and I love it! It allows me to hit my power hits and fast serves with ease,

Yeah, that's a pretty nice racquet, but stop worrying about the logistics! Get out there and play!

Ya its a good racquet, but i would suggest a beginner to opt for a wooden racquet (yes these are antiques today). But wooden raqs have very small sweetspot,so the beginner becomes more accurate in hitting the ball with sweetspot.
(sweet spot is the middle portion of the racqet head which delivers optimum power and accuracy )
Also wooden racquets are flexible enough so it makes more tough for the payer to b accurate, and it also gives more jerk to the wrists.
the point is,if anyone wants to b pro in this field,he should opt for the odds to overcome first. If he/she can sustain these odds,he/she is through then.Goodluck.
