My friend and I have planned to do a film. I get to work with the horses and supply two, one being my own.I was also in the movie until a scene was taken out. Now, I really feel like saying "I have to be in the movie. I'm not gonna trust Lady (my horse) to just anyone! Either put me in and let me ride Lady or Lady isn't in the movie." I just don't want Lady getting hurt. Is that really selfish of me? How can I tell her?

You are not beening selfish, I would feel the same way. If I could not ride my horse in the movies, I would not let Lady be in the movies......Tell your friend how you feel, and be honest, That lady is your baby and you do not feel comfortable letting just anybody ride her. Good luck and I hope things workout for you and your friend and Lady. Best wishes.

I don't know if your question is in some sort of code for something else or not but if it's real and you're in the film with your horse ... you're the handler. If you feel that strongly about who rides your horse, make that clear to the director. If director says you're out, you're out. Your horse and the confidence you've built with her is far more important than some film. Also, keep in mind that good production companies have very experienced handlers on hand at all times. A lot of this depends on the relationship you have with Lady and the trust issue as well.
