Your tank is about 30 gallons for sure. Try this:
http://www.fishlore.com/ConversionCalculator.htm

scroll to the bottom where it says "Calculate Fish Tank Volume in Gallons Based on Tank Size"

Multiply L x W x H to get cubic inches. Divide by 1728 (number of cubic inches in a cubic foot) and multiply by 7.48 (number of gallons in a cubic foot. Or you can go to the site below and enter the cubic inches and it will convert for you.

Your tank would be 36 x 12.25 x 16.75 = 7386.75 cubic inches / 1728 = 4.275 cubic feet x 7.48 = 32 gallon.

That's not a standard size aquarium. Closest thing to it would be a standard 29 gallon which is 30 x 12" x 18".

The tank is a 30 long which has a larger footprint than a regular 30g.
