Protons and netrons form the nucleus of an atom, and electrons orbit it, creating atoms.

When atoms exchange electrons on a regular basis, they form molecules.

All matter is made up of atoms, which are made up of protons, electrons and neutrons.

All protons, neutrons, and electrons are made from six different kinds of quarks, or 'subatomic particles'.

Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois, has a web site where you can watch these particles being made IN REAL TIME, by their particle accellerators.

Hope this helps!

It would take about a thousand years to tell you everything, even if we knew it, and we don't.
You can consider a neutron as a particle made up of a electron, a proton, a neutrino and a little bit of energy all mushed together into a thing we call a neutron. It has zero electrical charge.
A proton is made up of 3 quarks and some energy. It is positively charged and weighs about 1840 times as much as an electron.
An electron is a fundamental particle, possibly it has a size of zero, and has a charge of negative one. It is not made up of quarks (as far as we know) or anything else!
In elements, the atoms must have equal numbers of protons and electrons because the charge must balance. Generally, there are at least as many neutrons as protons in the nucleus of an atom or the atom disintegrates because the nucleus flies apart (too much repulsion between the protons). Too many neutrons is also not stable but for different reasons.
In real atoms the electron forms a probability "cloud" around the nucleus and is not whizzing around it like the moon around the Earth. Once it gets away from the atom it becomes a particle once more.

Relationship Between Protons And Neutrons

They are all particles of the atom. Both the neutrons and protons are located in the nucleus and they are called neucleons. The electrons are located in the outter shells of an atom. Neutrons don't have a change, protons have a positive charge, and electrons have a negative charge. When an atom is in its original state there are an equal number of protons and electrons in order to balance out each other.

the protons and neutrons compose the nucleus and are called nucleons; they account for the mass of the atom. The number of protons, nucleon number,indicates the position of the element in the periodic table. Being positively charged, the protons confer a positive charge on the nucleus. The neutron to proton ration is important in whether the elelment is radioactive.

The electrons, equal in number to the protons, and negatively charged, make the atom electrically neutral. The y arre present in orbitals about the nucleus and determine the chemical properties of the atom. Electrons are lost, gained or shared in chemical bonding; it is the valence electrons that take part in bonding.

For every proton there is an electron unless it is an ion. Proton is positively charged and electrons are negatively charged so there charge should balance out.

protons & nuetrons form nucleus
electrons revolve in orbits or energy levels.
protons :-
charge = +1.602 *10 ^ -19 c
mass = 1 atom of h(1.6 *10^ -24 g)
eletrons :-
charge = -1.602 *10 ^ -19 c
mass = 1/1837 of h atom (9.1083 * 10^ -28 g)
nuetrons:-
charge = 0
mass = 1 atom of h(1.6 *10^ -24 g)
only proton & nuetron contribute to the atomic mass of atom .
eletron's mass is negligible.
valence eletrons take part in chemical reactions.
atomic no. = no. of protons = no. of electrons.
mass no. = no. of protons + no. of nuetrons.
electrons in each shell can be calculated by 2n^2 where n is the principle quantum no.
