try to get a good antivirus program..I suggest Norton antivirus but it's not a free stuff..after you get the norton you can download the update of virus definitions of norton website.. and also you can download the trial version of zone alarm internet suite it's a complete package, antivirus, antispyware, and also firewall.. use these zone alarm to scan your pc.. hope it can help...
in the future, uninstall the trial vers of zone alarm and then download the free version of zone alarm.. for protection i think the free vers is enough, no need to buy the full vers..
good luck..

Want a quick and easy solution? Download SeaMonkey at mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey. It's a Web browser that's not Internet Explorer. Since your virus affects Internet Explorer, and this browser isn't Internet Explorer, potentially, this could temporarily resolve your issue.

SeaMonkey is a Mozilla browser but it's fast and has a lot of facilities that others don't have. There are others as well: Mozilla (mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x), FireFox (mozilla.com/en-US/firefox), Opera (opera.com), and NetScape (browser.netscape.com). There are more but this might possibly get you going today.

Chances are, you got this / these virus / virus' through an email. We also recommend that you get our fraud, SPAM and virus protected email at

email.cookiesdomainshop.com

which will filter out such virus' in the future.

Hint: Our fraud, SPAM and virus protected email is included for FREE our domain names (Web site names). It will also provide you secure Web based email (you can check your email from anywhere on the Web) which will also function with the major e-mail programs.

We do think you should have this virus removed from your computer soon but since some virus' are only one of several self-sustaining virus', getting rid of one virus may be only a temporary solution. Some such virus' have many elements, each of which reinstate all the others, so removing only one is somewhat futile. It may not be easy to get rid of this and so the above solution might bring you temporary and instant relief but it will not solve the larger problem of removing the virus.

Good luck!

you need to run a spyware and also a malware program.spybot might take care of it. if you think it is a virus, which is probably a trojan, then download and run prevx. choose the red download link for it. read what it has to say. it will do everything the other programs claim they can do but it does do what it says.

by the way, some people don't know what they are saying i guess like "low on ram". buddy, before giving advice to someone, know your stuff. it isn't fun trying to figure out who is right at what they say. alot of people don't know about things and they come here for help.!!!!if you want to check to see the programs that are running at startup, just hit start and then select run. type in the msconfig hit enter and select the startup tab. MSCONFIG is part of the OS in your and everyones computer.

If you do not have firefox get it now and use it instead of internet explorer so you dont get any more spyware http://securitynewsfromthenet.blogspot.com/

to remove the spyware run steps 1-2-3

1) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot http://spywarekiller.hyperboards.com/index.php?action=view_topic&topic_id=4 do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode

1b) Run AVG Anti-Spyware Free
http://spywarekiller.hyperboards.com/index.php?action=view_topic&topic_id=39&latest=1

2) Do an online virus scan to check and remove virus and spyware if you still have viruses on your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .

3) Get another anti virus program if your present anti virus program is not protecting you any longer

Install a good virus protection suite & update it. Pc cillen by trendmicro is a good one & has a free online scan that also removes problems. AVG has a free version for download. Avast is another great free one.

Then start your pc in safe mode (depending on pc type this is usually a different key combination), generally as soon as you turn on the pc you hit the key combination F8 and choose safe mode. Don't be scared, it's supposed to look this weird. Safe mode runs the bare minimum, which is why you want to remove problem programs in it, they can't hide in safe mode like they can during normal start up. Then run your virus software. This should remove it. If not completely then you need to go to the trendmicro or symantec web site for further instructions. & try hitting it with the programs I listed below.

For future reference:

Always make sure your Window’s is completely updated, along with Office and Internet Explorer (if you insist on using it – version 6 is the worst so far for known issues).

Use a firewall, zone alarm is free & pretty user friendly. & get the following products.

Get Spybot Search & Destroy by Patrick Kolla Great free program for finding spyware. Don't be cheap, give the guy a donation.

Ad aware by lavasoft is free for personal use.

www.ewido.net - free after 30 days, limitation is that you have to manually update.

http://www.superantispyware.com is free.

& dump Internet Explorer. It's got more holes than swiss cheese. Get firefox, it has some really great add on extensions that block scripts, pop-up's & more ... & it's free. Depending on how you access the internet (some programs like Yahoo dsl, & Netzero try to force you to use Internet Explorer) just click on your Firefox icon to surf the web not Internet Explorer.

You can stop most programs from loading by using "msconfig". It's not on XP so you have to download it from a site such as perfectdrivers. Most programs beyond firewalls and virus protection do not need to run at start up. It's too bad that "Blackvipers" site is still down. He had an incredible list of how to stop unwanted and unneeded services in 2k & XP from running & slowing pc down. It is however still being posted on sites, so google his name.

Hijack this is a great program to see what programs are doing on your pc. Generally, you don’t need most of those programs. Hijack this has a lot of information about what is safe to disable & what is not safe. In general, you don’t need the vast majority beyond programs that have to run at start up, your web browser page of choice, virus protection & firewall hooks.

Hope I helped. & don't forget --> Just because you have protection doesn't mean it will work if you don't keep it updated & run it once a week. Just think of all the time you'll save not trying to repair a virus infection! It’s a lot of information but once you run through it & play with it it’s pretty simple.

First go here; http://www.yahoo.com/
Then up top of Browser click; Tools > Internet Options > click Use Current
Then look down and click Delete Files and if a box open check Off Line Content and OK.
Now you know how to change your Home Page and can go to where you want your Browser to open to and click Tools > Internet Options > Use Current

typically that's NOT a virus, but spyware. Get a anti-spyware program like spybot or adaware to help remove it.
As one said, you can also try:
http://www.trendmicro.com/hc_intro/default.asp
It suppose to remove viruses and spyware.

The best thing to do is reformat the computer, since it appears that there are a lot of infected folders. You should also stop using Yahoo Messenger too - that is a risky program to install and use. It constantly adds things to your machine without your knowledge.

Go and get yourself SpyBot Search and Destroy. You've got a trojan/adware on your machine. Scan it and remove the thing.
