I need to replace skirting due to hurricane damage. I would like to use wood, maybe a picket fence look. Any ideas for this do-it-yourself project?

Wood will eventually rot. Even treated wood. Vinyl will eventually break down due to sun light and it doesn't stand up well to weed eaters.

I recommend a single level of brick and galvanized corrugated metal sheets.

wood is not the way to go there.I would suggest tin sheets and then paint it.They will need cutting to fit but if installed vertical it will drain rain and is easy upkeep.

plastic lattice...cheap, easy to replace and termites will leave it alone. Bought at most home stores. (Lowes, Home Depot)
