Look first of all he is the best player in the game today, ok now why is Dirk and Steve nash name even come up? These guys are what the white fan want to see, itis like Larry Bird said a few years back that there were no white superstars that the paying fan can look foward to seeing like when he played. Since then Nash wins two MVP's and it cheapins the award because he get outplayed by a second rate guard from the Lakers and then Dwayne Wade does not even get a serious vote for MVP. Kobe Lebron A.I. Areanas Carmelo Garnett Nowitski Wade are all superb players , Kobe is playing the best right now.

I sometimes have a problem with subscribing to this theory but most of the time it rings true to me: The best player at the end of the season is the MVP; and they're the MVP because they make the rest of the players around them better. Kobe is a great player; a future Hall of Famer...etc; but he is not the MVP. The MVP is the player who's great himself, but like I said who also makes his teammates better. There's been so many games this season, and last where Kobe scores a boat load of points, the Lakers win but they wins by 4. He is the best player in his own team; at least offensively, but take him out of the team and the team collapses. What does that mean? It means that he's carrying the entire team on his back, but he does not make people around him play better. They look good behind him, but without him they suck. That's why he's not the MVP

Kobe is the biggest ball hog in the NBA, and that is saying something. He started the season trying to play team ball, then he was not getting the press he needs to survive, so he started punching people in the face and shooting 30-40 times a game. I could score 50 if I shot the ball 35 times and had 25 free throws. The best player/players would have to be Nash and/or Dirk, hands down.

I agree. He is the best player in the NBA right now. He scored 81 points against the raptors last year, 65 and 50 back to back. He is a first-ballot hall of famer after he retires. He still has a long way to go, that is the crazy thing.

i saw him hit the 65 but he really needs to start sharing the ball in that situation. they were already killing the blazers so he had no reason to show off

Yeah, he's a great player, will probably win MVP, but he should use his teammates more if he wants to win another championship.

Yes, and he's the next Michael Jordan. No doubt about it.
