Craigslist, or don't flush them alive, at least euthanize them first. All you have to do is take a cup, put water and ice cubes in it, stick in the freezer for a few minutes, take the ice cubes out and drop the fry (babies) in. It's the quickest pain free method of euthanization, I use it to cull my deformed fry, and to put down sick or injured beyond repair fish.

use them as feeder fish

sell them via www.aquabid.com or ebay or newspaper or craigslist.com

you could give them to a petstore( not petco of course i mmean like local one)

just give them away to you neighbor, or a liitle kid (guppies can be raise in a tank without a heater or filter. similar to a betta fish.)

oh by the way if you are not there when the guppy is giving birth, the fry will be eaten by the older guppies including the mother, and you may have a few survivors.

Try looking for another pet store. You can also try selling them to people around your area who you know are responsible. Put ads in the yellow pages :0). Otherwise you will need to keep them all and buy more tanks keeping females in a seperate tank than the males. But one slip and you'll get alot of pregnant females. :D. But then there is the other method. Euthanizing and probably the only option you have unless you find another pet store.

Well As soon as they come out the adults will try to eat them my sister got guppies from her 7 grade teacher 2 years ago and she lets them be born in the tank with the adults. So usally theirs only 2 or 3 survivors. Then my cat knoced Choclate milk in their fish tank so like 4 died and she put all the other ones in her other tank. And then her tank had a little to much guppies in her fish tank so she gave like 11 to my aunt and now we have like 6 or 7 guppies. (I would not suggest dumping chcolate milk in their tnk)

Try and call a "mom and pop"-type pet store in the area. Guppies aren't in really short supply. You might have to look to other alternatives as to how to get rid of them.

Which unfortunatly means giving them away as feeders.

In the future, only keeps female or male guppies. Male guppies would be better. :)

Good luck!

My daughter takes all my unwanted babies to school & gives them to the science teachers that have tanks. The teachers & students enjoy the fish & she gets extra credit for bringing them in! So try the local schools. They will more than likely take some off your hands.

If you don't want the fry, simply let nature take it's course. The fish will eat the fry. It's not inhumane, it's just nature. If you only have females, they will stop having fry after a period of time when the stored sperm is gone.

search yahoo for a group called freecycle and they allow you to post free things you dont want. Someone will take them or put an ad on Craigs list.

I would suggest taking them to a small pet store in your area. I know they are always looking for new fish and will probably take them in. I'm not sure if they would pay you but they will probably take them for free.

Most small pet stores will buy them for cheap or you can give them to the store and help out the pet community!
