When you say that you are independent, to what are you referring? In which area of life are you independent? Is it monetary, romantic, emotional, relational, business-wise, jobwise, family wise, time with other people?

Please understand that I am not sexist in the slightest. I don't have an agenda. I just want honest real answers.

I find independence in that I rely on myself to take care of myself. No one else is going to do it for me. And I would be a hypocrite if I let them.

Well I live alone, work, pay all my bills, etc. So, yes, I'm independent. I don't understand what you mean by "romantic independence", though. Same for "emotional" or "family-wise" or "time with other people".
I do miss having a boyfriend, though, but feminism doesn't say you're not supposed to have one!

Romantic: I am never going to marry, have kids, or even have a boyfriend. Ever. Don't even try to change my mind.
Monetary: I prefer to buy my own things. When I can't, I don't.
Career-wise: I decided where to go to university and what to study, and even a couple of agencies where I might like to work. (I'm not in university yet. The jig's up.)
Emotional: I try to keep my problems to myself.
Family-wise: I really don't like spending time with my family, but sometimes I have no choice.
Time with other people: I love hanging out with my friends, but I need an equal amount of downtime by myself.

monetary, business and job-wise, and friend wise. I am very proud of my career, and even if I were single, I would be able to live more than comfortably.
Emotionally and relationship-wise, I am not dependent, but since I am in a relationship, I am in a partnership where I have to consult the other person

I am in a traditional relationship meaning I take care of keeping the house in order and my boyfriend takes care of the financial resposibilities. Both are independant things to do, both are equaly important. I am independant in many ways and so is my boyfriend.

I am independant financially, emotionally, educationally, intelligently, and with my career and any choices I wish to make. With my choices I can depend on support not only from my family but also from my husband. Our relationship is one of respect and mutuality.

I'm lost when it comes to Geometry and gardening. I'm pretty independent other than that. Of course, I just moved to this town and my husband immediately deployed to Iraq, so there's no one here to help. I have to handle everything on my own, from cooking to pre-school, housework, home repairs and money.
