I am asking this question because I am working to jobs to support myself and to keep a roof over my head and its depressing. I rarely have much time for myself to hang out with friends and family. And because the cost of living is expensive here in Michigan, I have to work two jobs to support myself.

Maybe tired but not depressed.....you won't have to work two jobs forever. Think of it as a temporary situation, and plan for how you can make one of your jobs your full-time career (or find a new job that allows you to make as much as the two you're working now.)

It wasn't that long ago I was working two jobs (sometimes more) and going to school full time. (In fact, for one VERY long summer, I had four part-time jobs and was going to school full time at two different schools so I could graduate in the fall.)

I was never depressed about it, but it was sometimes difficult to keep myself motivated to keep doing it every day. And if I hadn't seen an end to it in sight in the near future, I certainly think I would've been depressed by the idea of the relentlessness of it wearing on for years on end.

It's been my experience you can get through anything if you have a belief that it's going to get better. But the key to making that happen is often working even harder in the here and now.

The point is that you are ambitious and you do what it takes.
You're lucky you have the energy to work the two jobs. And certainly you must meet a lot of people. Enjoy every moment and do what you can to save for a better future. Good luck

It's not a good thing to have to work so hard.

I hope you can find something that pays better eventually.

You need to see your friends and family and have some interests; they're essential elements in life.

The US doesnt repect the idea of "quality of life" enough: people work far too much there, and lead very dull, imbalanced lives.

you do what you have to do. and its not depression. its looking back at the question that you ask early on in life and that is "what would it be like when i grow up?". well how do you like it? it sucks doesn't it. it get easier when you put a routine or two in the day for your self. walk that extra block to the new cafe or deli for lunch, it helps. Try not to see the walls around your two jobs as your life, because its not. what you do in the time in between the conversion of your time and your job is your life.

I would be depressed if I had to work ONE job.
