What kind of cables do I need to connect my laptop with Media Center to my TV w/ satellite?

I would like to connect my laptop with media center to my tv satellite box. What type of cables or accessories would i need? Would I be able to record some songs into Window Media player like this?

I dont kno much about this stuff, but i kno my girlfriends sister wanted to watch shows from her laptop on the tv so she went out and bought a S-video cord, it worked like a charm for her. Not sure about the whole recording songs and stuff tho.

S-Video Output from box to S-Video Input of Media Center TV Tuner. S-Video doesn't carry sound. You can probably use RCA plugs to your laptop sound input for that.
