One idea: For every guest, write out a tag (Those "Hello My Name is" ones work great for this) with the name of a person, living or dead. When each guest arrives, a tag is placed on their back. Throughout the party, they can ask other party participants questions about who they are and they have to try and guess. Great ice breaker and is fun to see the interaction between guests!!

Another idea is for you to load up on the bling, etc. Greet every guest and then leave the room and have your best friend conduct an "observation test". Give everyone a piece of loose leaf paper and have them write down everything you have on.... being as detailed as possible. Then come back into the room and you and your friend can point to each item and have your guests check them off on their paper. The one with the most answers wins something...

Or you could get some different sized glass jars (baby food, small pickle jarss, nothing really big) and fill each of them with different types of candy. M & Ms, jelly beans, Reese's pieces, Hershey's kisses, etc. Label each jar with a number and pass them around to everyone. On a piece of paper, next to the number, each guest is to guess how many are in each jar. When everyone's done, open each jar and carefully count the items. The person who guessed closest wins the jar and candy!!

Karoake is fun to do in a big group... Have some of your friends start things out by doing a group song and then have one of them grab the next "singer" just before their song is over... It's fun..

Instead of traditional birthday cake, why not have ice cream sundaes instead! AFter all, you're not a kid anymore......
